Introductions

Hi, I’m Shen-Tat. Welcome to my room at DiviNation, where you will find offered the classes I teach, not incidentally the classes I would also want to take! I chose the name Praxis for my room because it implies, ways of simply doing things, and doing them often, and reflecting upon them often, in order to learn from them. Just like any practice you may have, like yoga, martial arts, knitting or painting. Because with all practices come wisdom.

You cannot help but become wise in those things you passionately do, repeatedly and over time. The pitfalls, and the advantages or opportunities unfold in the doing, and they personalize to you.

The first class series I will be teaching is Practical Sigilization. I call it a series though the content will build upon what came before. It really is just a single class, broken up into installments, with work at each stage to help you to comprehend, digest, and aim at the eventual goal of the class—which will be as personal as it gets.

I like to think of this series as offering an opportunity for the Witch, Spellcaster, Magician or Magickian, the Hedge or Solitaire to craft a new and brighter destiny for themselves, with all of their faculties available to them and On Line. The class outline is below. Please do take a look. We will cover material as wide ranging as scientific treatises on Sigils, to folk poetry, to the work of Sigil masters in the Craft, such as Andrew D. Chumbley and Austin Osman Spare.

Ultimately you will not be expected to be like any of the folks we look at during the course of this class, not like any of them at all. You will be taught a practice, and encouraged to BE YOU. We can think of these folks as guides along a path, helping to point out the features of a landscape you may or not be familiar with.

With time, I may offer more classes, depending upon interest.

A little about me?

Your Teacher

I just happen to be a 54 year old, who was drawn to the Occult at the age of 9, through mysticism and poetry, and has continued this journey ever since, through several religious faith systems, to currently find myself here. I was born in San Francisco and I was reared in Denver, but I have lived in the American West, Midwest, Mountain region, and in Japan’s Ryukyuan Islands. One of my home Covens is in New England; while I have Coven family from Southern Germany and France, all the way to Reno. I currently hold initiations under several traditions. I choose to claim my parentage publicly under only 1 of them, while some of my parentage I keep private, and some I will not speak to at all, unless it is within Circle with you. I currently run the Littleton, Colorado, Covenant of the Witches, as its Hight Priest, formed in 2002 as a teaching platform for the Craft. From Wicca, to American traditional Witchcraft, to creative Solitary work and public service as a teacher and Priest of the Craft, I have simply for myself, strained to hear the ring of a clear sounding bell, one which cuts through distortion and noise, and brings all things into resonance with its sweet, loving, powerful tone. I hope only that what I can pass on to another here, gets used.
